Ofsted Report

Swaffield was inspected on 22nd June 2016

This school continues to be good. The leadership team has maintained the good quality education in the school since the last inspection.

Swaffield is a very happy school which is focused on pupils’ learning.
Parents are highly positive about the school and its work.
This in part is due to your high expectations of pupils’ work and behaviour.

Here are some of the comments made in the report: Ofsted 2016

You have worked with your staff in early years (Nursery & Reception) to ensure
that the youngest children in the school get off to a flying start in their learning.

By the time of the Year 1 phonics screening check,
pupils are performing better than their peers nationally.

You have ensured that the curriculum is truly broad and balanced.
Pupils benefit for a wide range of enrichments and extra-curricular activities.

We are very proud of how well the school has done recently under these external measures and feel the results are an indication of how passionate we are about our school.

We have included two main pieces of information on this page:

Firstly, the latest Ofsted report which you can see above.

Secondly, you can see the latest data from the Department for Education concerning Key Stage 2 SATS Test results by visiting our Results page.

Swaffield Primary School provides a good education for its pupils…The school’s excellent care, guidance and support help pupils to develop confidence and maturity…As the pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is excellent, pupils develop very well as articulate, courteous and considerate young people.
