• Saturday 24 June 2023 Celebrating Windrush 75 Well done to all the children & parents who shared their family stories as we gave thanks to the Windrush Generation, celebrating #Windrush75. It was an honour to be joined by the wonderful Levy, an amazing 100 years old, and to share his story of coming to Britain.
• Monday 22 May 2023 Outdoor Classroom We've been busy getting our outdoor classroom ready for our seedlings that we've been nurturing since the Spring Term.
• Friday 5 May 2023 Celebrating the Coronation Today's celebrations for King Charles' coronation will be remembered fondly in years to come. • Friday 28 April 2023 Coronation Crown Competition We are so impressed with the creativity and artistic skills used by children from Nursery to Year 6 in designing a crown fit for a king in the Swaffield PTA Coronation Crown Competition. Well done to all out entrants.

This year's theme ‘Let’s Connect’ has inspired our class-based activities and our assembly during which we’re encouraging people to connect with others in healthy, rewarding and meaningful ways.

• Tuesday 31 January 2023 Science & Enterprise Week During our annual Science & Enterprise Week our budding entrepreneurs in Nursery up to Year 6 think of ideas, devise products, make them, then design adverts to promote them. Through teamwork, collaboration, and creativity, they create fantastic items to raise funds for their year group
• Monday 16 January 2023 New Library We're delighted to say that our fantastic new library is fully open and being used by all classes. It's packed with wonderful books for the children to enjoy. The library is arranged in two sections:• one for the younger year groups, which has lots of wonderful picture books as well as early readers• the other for older children, which is divided and colour-coded by the genre of the books.

• Friday 11 November 2022 Art for Remembrance Day Swaffield Art Ambassadors created this beautiful artwork to show what Remembrance Day means to them. It is on display at the Pump House Gallery, Battersea Park as part of their Remembrance Day Exhibition.
• Tuesday 18 October 2022 Black History Month - Inspired by Chelsea Foundation Our Black History Month assembly by Chelsea Foundation inspired many really creative entries for their 'iconic shirt' competition. Well done to all the children who spent time designing their own 'iconic shirt' and sent it into the competition.
• Tuesday 18 October 2022 New Look Newsletter We're excited to reveal our new look newsletter. We listened to feedback from our Swaffield families and looked into ways to make it easier for them to read our newsletter on their phone or tablet. It sounds like it's well-liked!

• Thursday 23 June 2022 125th Anniversary Whole School Photo Our whole school photo on 23rd June 2022 marked the first day of celebrations of our anniversary and will be a milestone in Swaffield's history. What a lovely memory for us all.
• Wednesday 22 June 2022 Year 3 Poetry Winners At The Globe Theatre We were really proud of our Year 3 Performance Poetry winners. Not only did they win a prize in this year's CLPE Clippa Performance Poetry Competition but they were invited to perform on stage at the world-renowned Globe Theatre.
