Sponsored Reading Challenge
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we're challenging children from Nursery to Year 6 to read as many books as they can between 3rd March and 18th April for our sponsored reading challenge.
Whether enjoying books with a grown-up or independently reading, our aim is for the children to enjoy immersing themselves in books and finding their way to new worlds, adventures and fun.
Each child has been given a bookmark so that they can record the books that they have read and keep their teacher updated. Every teacher has a poster on which to keep a weekly tally of the number of books read by the children in their class. At the end of the challenge, the class whose children have read the most will win a prize: a celebration event in our school library with a special guest.
We’d be very grateful for any sponsorship that children can raise – remember, even small amounts will add up to a lot when put together. You can sponsor using this link and please feel free to share the link with family and friends who may like to support the children's reading too!
